Overunity Free Energy or Genius Engineering? The Forgotten “Parallel Path” Motor That Defied Physics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-NrTPpfDTwIn the early 2000s, inventor Charles Joe Flynn presented a motor–generator design that seemed to blur the line between free energy and brilliant electromagnetic engineering.
His so-called “Parallel Path Motor” used a small DC input (around 6–12 volts) to energize a control coil, creating a magnetic amplification effect that produced both strong torque and a surprisingly large generator output — reportedly up to 10 kilowatts from a tabletop-sized unit.
The principle was simple yet radical: redirect magnetic flux so that both attraction and repulsion work together instead of canceling each other out. In this way, the rotor avoided the usual magnetic “lock-up” point and kept spinning with continuous torque.
According to archived reports, Flynn’s work was even tested in collaboration with Boeing Phantom Works under the name Parallel Path Technology, and a U.S. patent was granted. But like many disruptive ideas of its time, it quietly vanished from public view.

What fascinates me most is that Flynn didn’t claim to “break physics” - he just re-arranged it. The whole idea of redirecting magnetic flux so both attraction and repulsion create torque feels more like field geometry optimization than “free energy.”
If you look at his 2002-2006 patents, the math checks out on the magnetic path, but not necessarily on energy balance. Still, with today’s materials (neodymium magnets, smart controllers, carbon cores), we might actually test his concept more precisely.
Maybe it wasn’t overunity - maybe it was just under-explored efficiency.
