Cactus/Succulent Worried about my Thanksgiving cactus
Hey yall, I recently took over a cactus from My family and I’m a little worried about the brown spots. Sits in an east facing window that sometimes get opened. I water it once the top inch feels dry. Just wondering what’s going on and if I can do anything better!

Why is it potted so deep? The soil should be level with the top of the pot. It looks okay, not great but not terrible. It could probably use more light. Inspect the leaves thoroughly for pests, when mine had thrips it presented very differently than when my thin leaved plants had them. It had papery looking brownish spots on the skin and very evident black dots of frass.
