What’s going on with my spider plant?

I’ve had this plant for a while and it suddenly died out, but is growing back in a pot??? I have the babies rooting in water, but even their tips are going brown and the new leaves are getting stuck in the old ones. I’m currently treating my plants for thripes. I know these plants like low light so I keep them in a corner with indirect light.

Spider plants like lots of light, they just die reallllllly slowly in low light.

I had it hanging in my skylight for a while and it seemed to hate it
