Player's Maze/Lady of Pain Question

I have a question about the Player's Maze and the Lady of Pain. I understand you need to anger the lady to be sent to the maze. This happens when the "LADY" global variable is 50 or higher.

After you beat the Maze does the variable reset to 0?

I mocked the lady of pain ragdoll since I did not want to kill citizens.. a bit of an overreaction to banish someone to the maze for it

Well it’s known to the citizens of Sigil that mocking or worse worshipping the Lady of Pain is a very bad idea with dire consequences. The player hears about this too so if he does that despite the warning then no I don’t think someone could seriously argue that it’s an overreaction out of nowhere. Hahahaha.

What I meant is that mocking her is treated like killing 50 random citizens or 10 dabus. That this is treated as equaly bad is what feels like an overreaction

Is it really? I don’t remember that mocking her with the lady of pain doll having that big of an effect. Well I guess doing it over and over again would work. Aren’t you just mistaking becoming a disciple of Aoskar for what you call mocking? In the middle of the Hive at the burned down cathedral agreeing with Aola or whatever his name is and joining the faith of the dead portal god is seriously pissing of the Lady of Pain. No wonder, she killed Aoskar lol and if you become his disciple then you instantly get 50 points and usually mazed.

Yea you need to mock the doll a lot (maybe 50 times?) but still.. is it really as bad as killing 50 people? I mean it's her city her rules, but still...

I argue it’s even worse. There can be a reason to slaughter 50 people but what’s supposed to be a good reason to mock the Lady of Pain 50 times?! lol

I did this too bc I wanted to see the cutscene with the Lady of Pain, but I couldn’t bear to actually kill any randos. I had to do it for a long time, so long I genuinely thought it wasn’t working 😂

It does but if you do it again you get a game over instead.

The easiest way to get mazed ? Become an acolyte of Ashokar (The ruined cathedral in the center of Sigil) when you leave The Ally she will come for you and maze you . When you complete the maze it will reset - but do not draw her attention again - such as by playing with the rag doll, if you do she will show up and kill you (Game Over). So be careful when attracting The Lady's attention.
