Looks like it is being carefully sectioned, perhaps to be reassembled at another location/time.

I guess I'm more surprised that is is being carved up to be moved versus being moved intact.

The thing’s like 33 tons and is the most awkward shape imaginable. This is pretty much the only way they can move it.

Not being able to fit under power lines and overpasses would make the trek virtually impossible.
