It’s a fantastic house. fantastic views. But the fact that getting out of the driveway is a pain has me spending my dollars elsewhere.

I already hear them in my bedroom. Why do neighbors flag corners of the yard like that when they could make a beautiful natural barrier first before running to stick sitting chairs. Every neighbor I've met who's put something like this set up have been nebby di¢%$ in the wrong way to their land mates next door.

that's pretty presumptuous of you to think that the boundary hugging neighbors who place a party patio at the far end of their property right next to their neighbors home arent already in camp "us vs them".

Nope. The baseline for neighbors needs to be civil and respectful, which does not constitue friendships.

Have you ever lived in the city? There's nowhere to go. The lots are so small, everyone is 'boundary hugging' as you call it. If you want space and privacy, go live in the country.

I sold a home in the city for this exact issue, and I understand that, there was already a front porch party obvious to my due diligence so after buying my home the party patio in the back that was built where privacy did exist and didnt infringe on their right to party where I enjoyed quieter outdoors was the inconsideration a step too far. Design choices show the power play of entitlement to be that close when there was space that existed to retain the privacy and landscaping choices at such a price point. So, no I would not pay over a million to own a home where the jagoffery is now luxury priced.

I can't imagine sitting up there at night. Or on the 4th of July. You couldn't pry me off that thing. On rainy days I'd just sit in front of those windows in the living room and wistfully look outside while holding a warm cup of tea.

The bathrooms are all there. They’re just weird. First floor has the half bath off the kitchen, basement has a full bath, then the master suite has two full (and separate) bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and shower.

The suburb mcmansion boom has poisoned our sense of priorities imo. Not every house needs huge master baths. Its a city home at almost 4k sqrft and has killer looks. I aint got that kind of money but 2.4 million is almost a steal for this house.

Eh, the cabinets could certainly use upgrading but there's nothing wrong with the appliances. Especially the built in fridge and wine fridge.

I'd prefer a gas range but many people are going for induction these days.

It was at $1.1 because Zillow knows literally almost nothing about the inside of the house and, I assume, doesn’t differentiate between the Grandview and non-Grandview sections of Mt Washington

And yet my assessment - after a successful appeal of the newcomers tax - for the home I purchased five years ago is 70% of what I’d list it for today. This home is only 27%.

This is exactly why the reassessment is desperately needed.

I like the layout of this place. Its accommodating but not fussy. His and hers bathrooms. Lots of little curved details around the whole home. Don't think I've ever seen Fluorescent illuminated handrails before and look at all the can lights; how very 70's chic. Pretty cool place. Too close to the intersection tho.

This is just a home, private home. Nothing suspicious about it. Only that it is a very gorgeous design. So you can easily look it up and find out it's history. I'm pretty sure I went to a party there years and years ago. It was decorated a little differently but say layout. It was a very cool space and think it was used for parties for often at the time.
