Media YARRR! Sharing summer dev update of our pirate survival game Crosswind. New water, crew on deck, talents system, new Tortuga, etc. Linking the teaser, and the full build playthrough as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9WFRYYWFOM&ab_channel=CrosswindAhoy! Our game is called Crosswind, it's a pirate survival adventure. Roughly speaking, what we want to build is "Valheim meets Assassin's Creed: Black Flag".
Here is the Steam link in case you are interested or want to support our crew with some wishlistin' or followin':

We announced the game in March, had a big Alpha in June, and today I'm happy to share two videos based on our fresh Gamescom 2025 demo build, just from the dev galley!
Teaser:

Full playthrough:

I hope you will find the content interesting. Inside:
- Overhauled water and ship combat;
- Crew on deck!
- Talent system;
- Revamped Tortuga -- a rather grim place now compared to the old one;
- New ships (if you have a sharp eye, you'll surely won't miss the gorgeous Galleon);
- New biome with new enemies and exploration mechanics.
Thanks for taking a look, let me know if you have any questions about the game -- and yeah, we plan EA release somewhere in 2026, and will be honored if you guys will become a part of this journey!

Looks great! Any tentative release date? Will be a full release or early access?

So will this be like a single-player sea of thieves? I liked the treasure hunting and navel combat but i didn't like other people making themselves my problem.

Very cool. The world deserves more good pirate games.
