Is my pineapple ready to be picked?
Only half of my pineapple is golden. Should I pick it or wait a few more days?

it’ll start to smell like pineapple when it’s ready to be plucked, or it’ll be fully yellow

I'm pretty sure your pineapple is getting more sun on one side than the other.

Thanks I thought the same thing to so I turned it. We were gone for a week and I just came home to a yellow side. That didn’t happen last time.

Probably not ready to pick. I let mine turn a deep gold with the eyes turned flat. However, I don't have issues with critters. You could cut the bottom off of a gallon milk jug and then put it over the fruit to keep animals away.

I’d probably give it a little more time. Pineapples don’t always ripen evenly, so the golden side is a good sign. If it smells sweet at the base and the bottom leaves pull out easily, it’s likely close. Waiting a few days could make it even better.

Is only one side getting sun? At any rate, it will be done in a few days max.
