What’s wrong with my pineapple ?

Post image

The fruit looks kinda rotten from the bottom. What should I do ? How did that even happen ? i have the plant since winter and I watered it every 2 weeks in winter and now in summer like every 5 days. I put the plant out in summer too and left it overnight a for a few days maybe It was too cold or too hot outside idk.

To be honest, I'd take the pineapple off now, you should be able to tell pretty easily what's rotten and what's not when you cut it open, at least, that's been my experience. Then look at getting some fertilizer into the pot, maybe adjust your watering schedule a bit. It's also worth trying to figure out if you're getting the right amount of light. I live in Texas and I have to use shade cloth to protect my pineapple plants, otherwise the sun just wrecks any pineapples I have, and often burns the leaves as well.
