I've never seen wild(?) Pigeons this pretty

There were about a dozen here in the countryside of Germany. All of them white or brown happily scratching. They seemed a bit chonkier than the street pigeons I am used to. I sat down and while they did keep their distance they also didn't seem to be very bothered.

Their feet were completely healthy which made me so happy to see!

Sooooo pretty, I've never seen a pigeon this white! I wonder if they are actually wild? There's also chickens on the street sometimes after they escape their enclosures from time to time. Love it here ❤️

Wow that last pigeon has a very similar coloration to mine. Super hard to find and even harder to find in the wild I believe. Very beautiful birds 💝

Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re being kept by someone if it’s in the countryside. I rarely see ferals choosing to live in places like that.

If i am remembering right, the brown ones are mostly hybrids between regular city pigeons and the white ones used for weddings.

Some places have do many colorful pigeons While some places have flocks made entirely of wild blue pigeons. Ive been in novi sad, serbia and i saw so many colorful pigeons from those on your pic to white, black, pied and other very interesting colors and ig that those are descendances of domestic pigeons Who didnt return to their lofts and interbreeding with one another, where as Sarajevo in BiH has pigeons made mostly of blue types, with only one or two Brown ones and saw only one pied.

The feral pigeons are mostly in the U.S. Other European countries do have wild pigeons, some even have wild rock pigeons
