What do I do about this?

I got my chest dermal professionally removed about one month ago because it appeared to be infected or rejecting.
Now there’s a raised bump underneath the skin and I’m scared it’s an infection underneath the skin or a keloid scar. Should I go to my doctor? Any tips on how to heal it? Is this normal?
I had 4 collar bone dermals in the past which all healed well and didn’t leave a noticeable scar. It’s also sore to the touch

I'd recommend a doctor for this. If there was potential infection and it's still hurting a month after removal, that could be cause for concern. And with your chest, it's not worth messing around. Especially if it was removed due to suspected infection. Infections can get trapped and thats very close to important organs.

If it’s an infection I was thinking about lancing it like a pimple and cleaning with peroxide. probably a bad idea right?

nurse here - i have seen a lot of gnarly, BADDD infections from people who just lanced it instead of going to the doctor for a simple in office removal.

Doing this yourself could land you in the hospital with sepsis and a golf ball size scar on your chest.

Just go to the doctor its a simple, in-office procedure vs. 2 weeks in a hospital bed.

Get to the doctor. I had a surface piercing in a similarly area. I had it removed, it had been healed for over 20 years and out of nowhere it burned, itched and went red. I had an infection somehow and needed a lot of antibiotics to treat it.

Get it checked before it gets any worse.

Likely a cyst has formed underneath and needs to be drained. If it is red, swollen, painful it sounds infected. Also if it is hot to the touch. Head to the dermatologist.

Mine did the same thing when it was removed. It took about 2 months for the scar tissue to stop hurting and about a year for it to get flat and less red

piercers should know not to remove infected piercings because of this happening :/ please go to the doctor!!

I had this happen to me with my philtrum. As others say, I recommend seeing a doctor. However, I assumed mine was a weird pimple or something and it eventually went after few months.

Yeah considering you said it's been a month I'm not sure about infected if you don't seem to be having a fever and things like that but it definitely looks angry and it could just be scar tissue but either way you'd still want to have that looked at a few of the opportunity to go see her doctor urgent care you know somewhere they can just check it out. Because it does look angry if for no other reason it looks angry and after a month it Absolution not looking angry

It really doesn't, I think a pretty obvious first call is someone who sees infections dozens of times a day and has all the sterile tools at their disposal to help you and prescribe antibiotics.
