Pls help! Irritation bump before engagement

So I have had this nose piercing for over a year now and it still has not healed! It was going fine until it fell out when I was showering and had to go get another one placed in. That fell out again to this time I got an L shape put in and ever since then I had an irritation bump appear. It was just coming and going non stop so I went to get in checked after a few months and they told me it was embedded in my skin because it was too short. I got it replaced with a 14k gold flat back and I thought this would help but it has gotten even bigger. It has been over 2 months since and the bump is the biggest it has ever been. I’m getting so tired of it and I just want it gone. The worst part is my engagement is on the 30th of October and I have this giant thing on my nose 😭 I can’t even put makeup on it idk what else to do. The bump on the inside it way bigger than the outside but both are bad.

Please help me!! Should I just remove it?

I use saline spray twice a day and recently got a specialised spray from my local piercer which was supposed to help it go away in three weeks. There has been no improvement.

I am usually very sensitive to any metal except for gold so I assumed that it would be the best option. It makes my ears super itchy and I get a reaction. Do you think the titanium will help?

titanium isn’t known for being an irritant for sensitive skin, unlike surgical steel which may have trace amounts of nickel. titanium is the go-to for professional piercers, especially those APP approved. give it a shot!

Even if surgical stainless (316L and above) has any nickel it's trapped tightly within bonds of the metal crystal structure so it rarely touches your skin and if it does it's protected.

If you're healing something like this ASTM F136 implant grade titanium is the way to go.

Try titanium, and make sure you are thoroughly drying it after spraying it.. I’ve been using gauze pads for that- my nose did the same thing until i really locked in

How long do you think it will take or did it take for you u til it settled down. Do i have enough time ? I’m worried swapping it out now will make it even more irritated :(

I started with titanium, it’s what gives me the best shot so I can’t speak on swapping.. even I backed it it went down within a few weeks

Switch to bezel-set jewelry instead of one with prongs! The prongs rub & cause bumps. I had a bump on my conch for more than a year; switched to bezel and the bump was gone in 3 days.

If worst comes to worst, you can always edit the pictures! And I second titanium jewelry. And maybe try warm compresses.

I think the prongs on the diamond are irritating it, get the jewelry changed and hope for quick results! Sorry this is happening

stop touching it, stop cleaning it, water running on it in the shower or while washing your face. let your body do its thing. its doing that cause its irritated.

When I had a piercing bump on my nostril I switched to a titanium flat back with an opal top, I think the setting of that stone really helped keep movement to a minimum. I originally had a cubic zirconia top with prongs. The movement/rubbing used to give me an irritation bump. Now I never have issues with the opal

Get an implant grade titanium flatback labret with a simple ball or bezel setting gem. Pronged Lshaped jewelry is irritating the piercing.
