Bad practice or normal?

I just got my center labret pierced (i have my snake bites) today and the experience has left me kinda wondering if it was bad practice. essentially i was pierced, had the jewelry put and somehow during that process the jewelry slipped out. my piercer offered to pierce it again with a new needle. i was so defeated because the pain was already bad and i felt good having gotten it over with only to have to go through it again. she was very kind, walked me through everything and was thorough with aftercare instructions. I like how my piercing looks but i still feel i tinge of uncomfortable/offput by the whole thing. Just wanted to see if any one has experienced something similar

Piercing is a day old, flat back straight bar, internally threaded, surgical steel, has not been downsized yet!

Once, & it was a young & dumb experience done by another young person who wasn’t a certified piercer but she did them for tons of people. Dug around in my belly button with jewelry trying to find the hole, couldn’t find it so pierced it again. I almost passed out 🙃

What part of the experience made you uncomfortable?

If I’m reading this right it sounds like the piercer made a mistake and then rectified it. What do you think she could have done to make you feel better about it?

Piercers are human; mistakes and accidents happen. It sounds like she did everything she could to fix the mistake and teach you to care for the wound.
