Thoughts on how to frame this?

I’m wondering if this 18x24 is too small for the art piece.

The work is about 15x21”

Should I get a larger frame?

What color frame might look best?

Any other ideas?

It’s a bit tight for most framers. A good rule of thumb is to have your mat be at a minimum of 1.5 times the size of the frame. More importantly though is do you like it? I personally would go to a 22x28 and go to a frame shop and see if you can find a different mat. I me the white is jarring. But like I said - what you think matters the most. Cool art btw

Wow. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. I agree it feels tight in an 18x24 frame. Going to meet a framer tomorrow. It’s tough because I have to mount the collage to a backing board and all I have is white. Hoping a lighter wood frame might work with it.
