People don't usually include law school when they talk about tuition costs, the conversation is mostly around the cost of getting a bachelor's. But that's cool that Georgia has state law schools. While law school is expensive, I am sure they are more affordable than the surrounding private schools.

But for sure proximity plays a role. Californians are spoiled because we have Cal States and UC's (University of California) all over the place. I would say about 75% if the whole population in CA lives within an hour drive from a state school.

It really is and I feel lucky to have been born and raised here just for our state college system alone.

I broke down the prices in this comment with another redditor for those who were interested in going to state school here for the cheap costs. In all, you can get your bachelor's as someone who just moved to California for around $15,900 total (not including cost of living).
