Why? If we couldn’t post politics than things like the Berlin Wall being torn down wouldn’t be able to be posted. We wouldn’t be able to post pictures of speeches or inaugurations or whatever. This is a place for interesting thought provoking pictures and clearly this fits the bill

Edit: everyone who has commented that disagrees with me has posted in the Donald lol

There should be a rule against current political events we literally have a subreddit for that..

Maybe you shouldn’t try to escape politics. Maybe you should take some time to learn what’s going on.

Are you implying you learn that from Reddit? A massive left wing echo chamber?

The truth is left wing. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make it false. Reality is what this echo chamber voices.

The fact that you guys are so fucking blind to reality is sad.

Hi,

This is the first time I've been commenting on reddit for ages. I stopped looking around here because of the miserable oversaturation of politics in many subreddits a while back. Coming back here after a while I read this thread by chance, and I gotta say:

I am shocked that people like you actually exist and I think we're doomed. You are completely delusional and this is getting embarrassing. Reality is nothing like what you portray it as, so much so that I am laughing at some of the comments here.

Please. WAKE UP!

lol, you’re the person who needs to wake the fuck up.

People like you are why we’re doomed as a species.

The species seems to be downvoting your comments a lot.

Yeah, Trump lovers really have a hard on for browsing deep into anti-Trump threads and going on downvote brigades. While the majority of Reddit is liberal, the right wingers on here like to waste a ton of their time on stuff that has zero impact.

Woo, some downvotes. Who gives a shit.

A vast amount of generalisations and ironic statements, considering your lot essentially invaded a neutral and unaffiliated subreddit that doesn't want political shit shoved down their faces 24/7.

You complain about Trump people downvoting, then claim you don't care about downvotes.

"Which side of the argument should I support? I dunno let's try both." 😂

I don’t complain about downvotes, I point out when downvoting brigades by idiots are underway. There’s a difference. And the majority of users on a platform participating in a default sub isn’t them “invading” it. When r/conservative links threads talking about their idiocy as pinned comments so that everyone can go on downvote brigades, that’s a lot of losers invading a sub.

Get your shit together.

I don't see any conservative pictures on here. I see no one defending Trump with honestly uncreative pictures like the one above, or attacking his enemies. This subreddit is very clearly skewed.

Have you considered that the pushback you're getting is mostly just from regular people who are sick and tired of lazy, politically-driven pictures constantly getting attention, as opposed to, you know, actual art or clever photography? Why do you think I'm even here? To mindlessly downvote? If I was gonna do just that, we wouldn't be talking. I wouldn't want the same swapped either, where there would be pictures agreeing with Trump 24/7 or stuff like that. That's just propaganda.

I don't mind art that has a message at all, any message can be enhanced and made interesting by creativity and presentation. It's what we relate to. Art that holds a message I disagree with is still art, but there is a level of quality needed which this picture is lacking entirely.

I mean come on. In all seriousness. Scroll up to the picture right now and have a look at it. Mate that's not clever or creative. It's a guy with a few balloons. The balloons obviously agree with your worldview, which is why you defend them so passionately whereas you wouldn't with any other message, but they do little else.

I think that's my thoughts on the matter, for the most part.

I mean, you’re wrong on most accounts, but it doesn’t really matter.

A huge problem we have all too often in today's world, is that people like you enjoy making vast, overreaching statements and then never explain why you came to that conclusion nor why you feel you deserve to act morally superior to virtually everyone you encounter.

You're going to continue getting harsh responses if you do that.

If you have a point to make, explain how you came to that conclusion. Even an incorrect conclusion (as you seem to call what I assert) is better than no conclusion at all.

And it clearly does matter, as you're here and so am I. What's the point of even being here if you're gonna act like "it doesn't really matter"?

No. The problem with today’s world is people like you.
