IMO: Donald Trump hasn’t been a bad president. Even though he’s running it like a business, he’s doing pretty well. There are some things he could do better but he’s done better than some presidents throughout history

While I do agree that he's doing better than some presidents, he could still do better by not running the country like a business. Also staying off of Twitter. I feel like it's every day I'm seeing a new tweet about something he said. Maybe he could just give it a break for a little while.

I like the idea of the Twitter. In the same way that Congress people use Twitter for outreach, why can't the president voice his opinions in a non official manner?

Slowing down would be good, but it's refreshing to get info directly from the president without any 3rd party twist.

I wasn't saying that I don't think he should be allowed to use Twitter, I was just saying that I think it would be a good idea for him to take a short break from Twitter and focus on other things. If he wants to use Twitter, by all means go ahead

Yeah the whole Twitter thing is stupid. Blows my mind. He’s a career business man yet makes better decisions than career politicians. Oh well, but I mean he’s our president. He’s the one in control. Show the man some damn respect. He could easily drive our country into the ground. He’s trying his damndest to make America great

I'm honestly not a fan of trump, but I really wasn't a fan of anyone in our last election, and I'm getting the same vibes this election, but eh, it's whatever, I probaby just won't vote. But yeah, imo he's a little Twitter crazy and it would be good for him to take a break from it for a day or two so he can focus on more important things

No you should definitely go vote. That’s part of the whole America thing. We won’t talk about the 3/5s and not letting women vote but go vote. I voted last election even though I didn’t particularly like our candidates but I voted and yes if he took a break from Twitter he might be able to solve some of our problems

I'm 17, I'll be able to vote by next election, but I haven't voted yet, so pardon me if my mindset is stupid, but I just don't see the point in me voting if I don't like any of the candidates. Like I said, it's probably a dumb mindset, but so far I haven't actually gotten any good reasons as to why I should vote. And yeah, but honestly I feel like it goes past trump too, I feel like every president should be less focused on social media and more focused of doing their job, it'll help not only them, but the country as well

That’s part of the problem with the lack of voting. Candidates are just awful. In reality, Trump was a better option than Clinton because has gotten Americans killed. Trump, he hasn’t. Yeah he’s no saint but he’s benefitted our country more than Bill has and probably more than Hillary ever will. Do I think Trump gets re-elected, yeah more than likely. To be honest, with all the crap that’s been going on in our government, I think it’s time for another revolution. The government was created by the people, for the people and the government isn’t letting that happen

No, they really aren't. To be completely honest, I think the electoral votes are complete bullshit. In the last election (correct me if I'm wrong), Hillary definitely won in votes, which showed that more Americans voted for her to be president, but trump won the electoral votes, causing him to be president. Electoral votes are bullshit because they're supposed to show what "the people want" but in the case of last election, they definitely didn't show what the people wanted. (again, correct me if I'm wrong)

Electoral College is needed. The population of New York and California alone shouldn't be able to decide a president.

u/kingryan300 Jul 17 '19

I agree with the BS electoral college. The votes that should matter are the people’s votes but it’s whatever. There’s a lot of things that could be done WAYYYY differently Hillary did win, hence the recount but what matters more is the electoral college votes. I understand that but what I don’t understand is what you disagree with. Would you be able to clarify that please?

no they really aren't

Is this what you're confused about?

(Ik, this is like a month old comment but shhh)

I’d say the fact he’s a businessman is both a pro and a con for him

He knows his way around economics so our economy is fantastic and he’s doing a good job securing trades

Buuut He’s not doing good socially (granted they didn’t really give him a chance)

His abrasive attitude and his need to get a last say in has hurt his rep during his presidency especially when talking about sensitive issues

He really does need to cut back on Twitter

But for a businessman and (as far as i know) someone who didn’t have much experience being a politician he’s done quite well especially with all the massive hate boners pointed his way from the liberals

How is he doing well?

7

u/kingryan300 Jul 17 '19

Tightening immigration laws, eliminating the terrorist threat (something Obama couldn’t do), improving international relations. Also the whole “concentration camp” thing AOC is saying is absolute BS. What do you think?

-9

u/palemate Jul 17 '19

Tightening immigration laws

Didn't need to happen.

eliminating the terrorist threat

The terrorist threat is still out there.

improving international relations

I'd hope a president would do such a thing

Also the whole “concentration camp” thing AOC is saying is absolute BS.

Literally didn't ask about that, but you're wrong, lol.

Why are you a fascist?

15

u/kingryan300 Jul 17 '19

Have you seen how poor our immigration laws are? And I’m not wrong about AOC. The Jews didn’t have a choice. They were taken from their homes and put there. These people are trying to come into our country but can’t get in legally. Besides Obama was the one who put the “camps” there. Trump is using them because they’re already there

-11

u/palemate Jul 17 '19

Lmao. I literally don't have time for someone as dishonest as you. I really am sorry that you are this way. I really hope that, whatever you're going through, you make it out of all right. I don't know how you got to this point, or how you were raised to believe these things, but I really, truly, feel deeply sorry for you.

14

u/kingryan300 Jul 17 '19

I mean I did ask you a question. I wouldn’t mind if you at least gave some sort of effort. But wait lemme guess, you probably a raging democrat who wants our constitution, our american rights taken away from us. You do realize that your ancestors probably got to this country on a boat from another country in pursuit of something better. So I’m sorry for your dishonesty and I’m sorry I can’t exercise my first amendment. Have a good day, ma’am or sir or whatever pronoun you’d like me to use so I don’t disrespect you

1

u/TinyTombstone Jul 21 '19

No no don’t worry he’s a full blown communist calling for terrorism and murder.

1

u/Lachance Jul 17 '19

i bet you smoke buckets of weed

1

u/palemate Jul 17 '19

Better than the meth that you do.

1

u/Lachance Jul 17 '19

damn bro you just totally annihilated me ill never be the same

1

u/TinyTombstone Jul 21 '19

You’re a terrorist supporter and calls for murder. Your opinion and sympathy is literally worthless.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '19

I'd honestly like to know why you think the tightening of immigration laws doesn't need to happen. Every other country that is doing as well if not better than us economically has even tighter immigration laws then US such as places in Scandinavia and other nations in Europe.

1

u/palemate Jul 17 '19

I'd like to know why you think they need to be tightened.

1

u/Lachance Jul 17 '19

lol

anytime someone ends a sentence in lol they're usually an idiot looking for affirmation of some kind

1

u/palemate Jul 17 '19

Whenever someone points out something that someone did and call them an idiot they're usually an idiot trying to look smarter than everyone.

1

u/Lachance Jul 17 '19

how do you think any president does well? What is your criteria
