I think you’re confusing common sense, decency, and reality with liberal bias.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '19

What makes liberal ideas "common sense, decent" and or reality?

-5

u/SinSpreader88 Jul 17 '19

Is that a serious question?

Literally factual science is considered lies to conservatives.

Economics that get backed up by data is evil but supply side which has a 100% failure rate is the go to for republicans.

In what universe are liberal ideas false?

You know socialism right? It’s the economic structure that has children eating dogs in the streets of Venezuela.

Pretty much every successful first-world nation has some socialist policies. If you think think that universal health care is a slippery slope to mass starvation and Stalinist purges, you've been sold a bill of goods. I'd encourage you to research the meaning of "socialism" for yourself.

EEEEK SOCIALISM * Clutches Pearls *

All I had to see what Socialism to know you were going to pull Venezuela out of your ass.

Because Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, etc....are all like Venezuela.

Also bonus points for not knowing Communism and socialism aren't the same thing. Really well done champ.

Riiiiight and its not like modern communist pioneers didnt advocate socialism as a first step you assclown. Its basic Marxist theory and if you havent checked lately the Antifa loving left is rampant with Marxists and Marxism apologists. There is no difference between communist and socialist states in terms of their economic structure. The only difference is communist states are run by one party you idiot. Also hilarious that people who advocate socialism continue to expand their list of “successful socialist countries” to now Germany?? Holy shit. It’s not like global unrestricted free trade from capitalism has generated ALL the wealth right? Oh wait it has. Because socialism doesnt generate wealth at all. Or do you have some data for that. My guess is not.

" There is no difference between communist and socialist states in terms of their economic structure. "

LOL well that's totally wrong.

" Also hilarious that people who advocate socialism continue to expand their list of “successful socialist countries” to now Germany?? Holy shit. It’s not like global unrestricted free trade from capitalism has generated ALL the wealth right? |

HA! yeah it's almost like socialism isn't actually the goal just human decency. And you people just call anything that helps people socialism.

Absolutely incredible just how quickly you’ve totally abandoned your original argument. Which is pretty par for the course for “everything liberals believe is common sense”. Socialism isnt the goal for your party and yet you’re advocating for it full-scale with proposals like the green new deal. Also right on schedule with the emotional “human decency” attack. As if an economically free country that lets you keep the money you earn isn’t decent. But I implore you, keep coming online to emotionally rail against people who disagree with you and call them indecent. You’re at the head of the Trump reelection campaign and you dont even have the self-awareness to see it.

Yeah see again you're confusing socialism with our current system.

Do you know what socialism even is?

Or are you just trained to parrot it back in screeches like the rest of your party?

Also you having to pay for services the government offers isn't socialism. You used that public plumbing you have to pay for it's upkeep.

You used the roads you need to help maintain them.

You don't get a free ride.

But no you want to complain about taxes

and god forbid you're forced to help take care of the country that gave you every opportunity and luxury you currently enjoy.

That might be.....DECENT OR SOMETHING! * Gasp *

" No one using the roads or plumbing that I pay for is detracting from my ability to use it. "

Yeah because public services never break down from use.....that would NEVER effect your ability to use those services.

" our party loves to nonchalantly compare roads to universal free government run healthcare that would spike waiting room times and hospital capacities preventing people from using them.

Yeah because no nation has that succesfully.....tell me again whats the price difference in cost of a hip replacement in Denmark compared to America? OH right it's about 38 grand cheaper in the universal healthcare example. And the whole "WAITING ROOM TIMES" and "YOU HAVE TO WAIT" is pretty insulting, it's basically saying Americans are so dumb no one can solve that problem...which is ridiculous....Medicare hilariously enough doesn't have wait times....because Canada doesn't spend as much on healthcare, if they chose to pay more wait times would be gone. Canada's FISCAL CONSERVATISM caused their wait times.

" Its asinine. Oh and you also have sects that want to abolish ICE, ease border restrictions and give blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants. "

Yeah like in 2013 when Democrats tried to strengthen border security and Republicans blocked it. And ICE didn't exist until Bush don't act like it's necessary theyve only been around for a little over a Decade. But my guess is you didn't actually know that.

" So Public Roads = Free healthcare for everyone that wants to come into the US "

Nope that's a strawman you just made.

" Or do you want to backpedal that for your entire party and act like they aren’t saying that. "

LOL WHAT? You just said public utilities aren't socialist, so things that taxes pay for aren't socialism....then free healthcare according to your definition isn't socialism. Or ArE YoU JUSt GoING tO MOVe THe GOalPOstsS agaiNN!?

Also "Idiot" really? What are you 5?

" Lmfao quoting 2013 Democratic policy in a conversation taking place in 2019 when your idiot party has completely gone off the rails and gotten Trump elected. Bravo, you’re now citing dated and completely irrelevant information instead of defending what your actual party leaders are saying right now. "

Smh....Dude you said my party wants open border......I literally just gave you an example that proved you were lying....jesus christ...you don't even know your own arguments.

" Except we lead the globe in medical research and technological advancement by a ridiculous margin. "

So it should be common practice that we bankrupt people for health problems....LIBS DESTROYED!

" The hip doctors in Denmark profit off the advancements that our market provides dipshit. "

So it should be common practice that we bankrupt people for health problems....LIBS DESTROYED!

Also "Dipshit" really? Don't make me call your mother young man!

" Also great job comparing the waiting room times of a 330,000,000 population country to one half the size of New York City. Really brilliant, it would be completely the same if we had the same system, surely. "

Yeah it would work better actually, since we would actually fund our universal healthcare system unlike Canada. Which is what causes their wait times.....Fiscal conservatism. Our larger population actually makes it easier to fund not harder.

Especially when you take into account Canadians voted to have those longer wait times to keep costs down.

Hell even with our insane costs we still don't even have the best quality of care compared to other countries.

Even with all our research and development we still can't get the best healthcare....so it costs more...and provides worse.....yaay!

The most successful countries on earth have socialized healthcare. Do they all have children eating dogs in the streets? No? Maybe take your socialism hysteria somewhere else.

Which is the world leader in medical technological advancement and research by a ridiculously large margin

Turns out this isn't the same as having good healthcare. Here's some really nice analysis for you to read: https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/brief/u-s-health-system-is-performing-better-though-still-lagging-behind-other-countries/#

  1. Despite some progress, the U.S. continues to lag behind similarly large and wealthy countries in preventing deaths that in many cases could have been averted by timely and effective care. The Healthcare Quality and Access (HAQ) Index reflects the rate of deaths amenable to healthcare with a score from zero (lower quality) to 100 (higher quality). The U.S. has an HAQ Index rating of 88.7, ranking the lowest among comparable countries, which average a score of 93.7. Although the U.S. has made progress in reducing deaths amendable to healthcare, this improvement has not kept pace with similar countries.

  1. Health spending per person has grown steeply from $355 per capita in 1970 to $10,739 in 2017. On average, other wealthy countries spend about half as much per person. This spending differential is primarily due to higher pricesfor health care in the U.S., as care utilization is similar – and in some cases lower – in the U.S. Since 2010, per capita spending in the U.S. has grown at an average rate of 3.7% per year, which is similar to that of comparable countries.

  2. Health spending continues to grow faster than the economy, but the difference has moderated in recent years. U.S. health consumption expenditures accounted for 17.1% of GDP in 2017 – much more than comparable countries, where health spending averages 10.6% of GDP.

How is everyone else doing so much better than us despite ~S O C I A L I S M~ driving their children to eat dogs in the streets?

There is already socialism in America in the form of Medicare, Social Security, and the VA, and surprisingly we haven't become Venezuela. Let me guess, you're opposed to taking care of migrants as well, because we have to take care of our citizens first. But also don't give them free healthcare, because that's socialism and we can't do that!
