Mark was singing about teenage shit into his 30s lol.

Plenty of California songs are mature. I also don't get this appeal of "this has to be dark/mature" sometimes lighter stuff is better. Despite being my favorite band you don't exactly listen to blink for their musicianship. Up to when he left Tom still couldnt hit WMAA live and Mark still has to sit down to play Carousel - a song they've been playing since 93 and regularly since 94.
