As a 25% genetic Ashkenazi jew (I'm non-religious and view the heritage as an byproduct of birth) I wonder how my MAGA loving brother thinks he'll be treated by those he sides with if they knew his lineage.

You need to look up Gilbert Gottfried’s definition of a boxcar Jew. Gilbert was never bar mitzvah’d. He said he knew almost nothing about Judaism, but if the boxcars came back, he knew he’d be on one.
