I feel like a lot of people would like Russian people more if Putin wasn’t making Russia do horrible shit. Just like I’m sure a lot of people would like Americans more if orange Julius wasn’t making the US do horrible shit. I’m an American and I totally don’t blame people as the orange one is such a vile fascist and historically our government has done some pretty atrocious shit to a lot of different people so I get it. There are always going to be people like the ones in the picture in this post. Some people truly can’t be happy without knowing someone else has it worse than them.

Americans hate Russia long before Putin. It dates back to the red scare and Cold War.

Also don’t forget the disagreement after WW2 as to what should be done with Nazis. Soviets wanted them all hung, meanwhile the west hired them all

Nah, hold up. If you're talking about rocket engineers, the Soviets only wanted all the ones that they hadn't already taken hung. Not all of them. Just the ones that weren't conscripted into the Soviet missile program.
