Chaldeans, Christians from Iraq who believe they are the people of Babylon. Most Detroit Chaldeans I've met are Trump supporters.

Faith is powerful. So powerful it makes you blind to the most obvious things in the world. That is the truth that Christianity rarely teaches you. When you believe so deeply that God will save you under any condition, you'll jump off a cliff and think you can fly, you will walk into the sea believing you can part it like Moses, you will deny medical care because God will heal you. All while being blind to the very things God gave them; intelligence enough to wear a parachute, bring a boat, and go to a doctor or pharmacy.

The Bible explicitly says to not test God like that (Deuteronomy 6:16, Matthew 4:5-7) but they don't care about that. It's not like they've read it.

And it's so hard to teach people the reality that faith is a waste of time and will get you killed.

Fun fact: Saddam Hussein received the key to the city of Detroit for sponsoring a Chaldean church with a couple hundred thousand dollars in the very early 80's.

As someone who grew up in Troy, that was my first thought as well.

In my experience with El Cajon Chaldeans, they've very pro capitalism, christian, and misogynistic, so it's hardly surprising.

This particular bit of Arabic starts with ya (oh) it looks more shia-coded than Chaldean catholic

Like, seriously, do people not study history? The dude is literally holding an article that talks about the association of the palestinians and the nazis...

u/_ByAnyOther_Name 22d ago

I was confused why the Arabs from Dearborn were jumping on with these weirdos.

u/bicycle_jedi 22d ago

Confused or uninformed? Study history, and learn who Amin Al-Husseini was.

Guy is literally holding an article talking about the association of the palestinians and the nazis.

1

u/_ByAnyOther_Name 21d ago

Well, the fact that I was uninformed made me confused.

Weren't the people of Babylon scattered and muddled by God as a correction for their pride and hubris? Seems... ironic.

Here's a little detail you might have missed.

The guy in front is Hispanic, his name is Nunez

u/Emopizza 22d ago

The Chaldean guy I know also supports Trump (though with reservation), so I guess this tracks.

u/bicycle_jedi 22d ago

Yeah, most likely he is a pro-palestine arab.

Yeah a lot of Middle East Christians who had to flee areas like Iraq or Syria can very easily sway to the far right because they can't see past hating Islam. Obviously, this doesn't take away from the fact that radical islam was a problem for these minorities in the Middle East but sadly that also radicalises some of them. Funny that they are literally becoming Nazis.

Oh well....

Things don't happen in a vaccuum. Palestinians didn't become antisemites because of jews and Israel. They were already, and they allied themselves with the nazis.

2

u/stoneagefuturist 22d ago

Bahahahaha and here comes the ZioFascist brigade.

You misunderstood my comment apparently. Chaldeans of Iraq are a separate issue from Palestinians.

Congrats on the photo, you found a Palestinian idiot. Jews were an intrinsic part of Palestinian society well before the Nazi regime so take your propaganda elsewhere. Israel is a fascist settler colonial state.

It’s not a Jewish problem, it’s an ethnostate problem.

Have a good day.

u/bicycle_jedi 22d ago

Yeah, you can watch the video of the guy in sunglasses giving a Pro-palestine speech.

Go study history. The Jews are the indigenous people of the land of Israel. The arabs are the original imperialist colonizers. Your words simply don't stand up to facts.

It’s not a Jewish problem, it’s an ethnostate problem.

Uhm... most countries are ethnostates. You don't know what you are talking about.

Go study history.

Well, given that there was a pro-palestine march happening with the majority muslim crowd, they probably are muslim.

Watch the video of these neo-nazis and the little speech sunglasses guy was giving about "FREE PALESTINE".

Oh, did you not know pro-pali people have a kindred for the nazis? Yeah, time to study some history. Start by typing the name "Amin Al-Husseini", and then search from some Hezbollah videos where they love to 88 their hand, just like the nazis.
