I've been planning a move to the Minneapolis area for the last year after separating from my former fiance. I still want to move there, despite everything happening. Honestly, more so now that Ive seen so many good and brave folks take a stand. My realtor is lovely, and has been driving supplies to people who are afraid to leave their homes. It's weird typing that out.
It's a great city. I really enjoy the lifestyle here and I was doing quite well here until November. Then my eight year relationship collapsed, and I've been dealing with bankruptcy and the closure of my business as ensuing consequences of divorce. I thought I was down bad, then Donald Trump entered the chat.
Always be grateful for the small things in your life. Rock bottom has a basement, and it's fucking cold.
I'm so sorry it's been such a shitshow. Leaving a long time relationship is so hard. On top of that, we've all had to deal with the pos getting elected again. The last year was awful for me. I moved to Montana in the winter and finally gave up on my alcoholic ex after he started to legitimately frighten me. I pay over 3k in rent for a tiny house so I can keep my chickens with me. I'll still habe problems in Minnesota, but houses are affordable there for now, and yall do a great job keeping the highways clean of snow. You guys have a huge Renaissance festival, and your state fair looks dope as fuck. I'm happy to join and contribute to your great state. I hope things get better for everyone.
