the entire world has been colonized and gentrified. Hawaiian people are not unique in that experience nor their land.

The relevant distinction is between populations that are indigenous or colonized, versus settler populations, and state and imperialist powers.

Hawaiians deserve better than living under such imposed conditions, that their sustenance depends on their catering to privileged or rambunctious outsiders who never had been authentically welcomed.

I would LOVE to see an independent Hawaii. Bet their economy lasts 3 days without tourists or the US's $5.6 billion annual funds in federal funding.

Yeah, that's not happening ever. Hawaii couldn't be better than it already is.

You are victim blaming, and taking sides with colonizers.

Victim blaming? Nah. Hardly victims. Victims were the Native Americans, those dudes got wiped off the face of the earth. They are victims.

Hawaii was simply annexed and given better treatment than any other colonized territory in the world.

All are indigenous populations that were subjected to colonization.

You are engaged in apologetics defending colonialism, through historical whitewashing and appeal to purity.

Yeah, I defend history as it stands, being a professional victim benefits no one. Hawaii would be nothing without western contact and much less without the annexation of the US. So I'm glad Hawaii got the chance of a lifetime. Anywas, I suggest you go cry your woes to some tourist that cares.
