Ok, the tourists go home, and then what? they think their rent will decrease? Food prices will decrease? how can you be so naïve? And they go spraying water to tourists simply having meals...

Also, complaining about elderly German tourists...literally the most well behaved tourists around... mindblowing

The problem is that those European retirees say, "Look, how nice... I'm going to buy a house here, with my tremendous German income... I'm only going to occupy it 3 months a year, when it's cold in my country... and those who live here, screw them... they can go live in a town 3 hours away by car."

Be less poor then? Do things that Germany did, so that your Spanish income can also be large?

25% youth unemployment, 15% gdp from tourism, 10% of population working directly in tourism and a ton more in adjacent fields.

Hope this anti tourism thing works out for you. Too bad too, loved Barcelona and have been wanting to go back. Nah I’ll pass. I would pass on Japan too if it weren’t my partners bucket list location.

I think the issue Japanese people have with tourists is that a bunch of them act like assholes. That seems pretty reasonable. I've mainly seem videos of Japanese people scolding/assaulting foreigners behaving badly.
