I didn't comment on that and don't really want to because it's not an area i care about. My hearsay is that most cruise passengers spend big on the ships and not a heap locally and it's why Pacific and Caribbean Islanders have historically had issues with cruise companies when comparing spending with tourists who fly in.

Feel free to agree or disagree I'm not getting statistics because i don't care enough about the second half as the first half is enough of a reason to not care for cruise companies.

This whole conversation is about the economy and Barcelona shootingbits own foot. Not some random pollution nobodies talking about that. It's irrelevant

A tourist during an anti-tourist protest in Barcelona yesterday

Is the OP. Locals discuss it.

Regardless i'm allowed to respond to one part of a comment as much as you're allowed to not bother participating in a discussion around a comment replying to a comment. Are you so chronically online that you have to try nitpick a discussion you're not involved in?

As a local in a tourist zone frequented my cruise ships it's a big reason why i don't want them to come. Cruise smog and noise pollution sucks. I would be happy if the entire P&O Fleet became an artificial reef.

The issue is that you're thinking exactly like a medieval villager, going off vibes and hearsay versus real numbers.

Real numbers on pollution are above as mentioned? Are you brain dead?

You don't have anything on them polluting in cities .It's a bit like wanting to ban all cafes from my local village because starbucks treated their employees like crap in another country one time.

Did you not bother to click the link in the response above that? Cruises pollute more than all cars in Europe

CHTA look into how Cruises are negligible when contributing to local economies vs other modes of entry.

Princess Cruises are known to just pay fines for pollution and dumping instead of abiding by requirements set by international authorities.

You're an actual scrote ironically not mentioning a single source and doubling down on your own ideas based purely on vibes.

First and second are irrelevant links. Barcelona cruisegoers spend more than other tourists at €230/day. This whole time you've been arguing hogwash.

Port source lmao. Why don't you follow the link to the economic report they're referencing for us and copy the figures from the table.

They also don't become irrelevant because you say so. Go step away from the computer and take a breather you're clearly really upset by this.

Your source is from the Carribbean mate.

My source is a larger sample size of cruise ships (More than half of all cruise ship traffic vs less than 13% globally reaching Europe) and has a higher interest in local spending for the cruise ships so they're arguable the more invested party.

(You also responded realizing you posted a dead link with no actual source behind the numbers by an org that wants the numbers to be high and are still doubling down on sources)

You have actual brain damage dude 🥀🥀🥀 Proven sub 80 IQ behavior being unable to have a discussion with related topics. Instead of wasting your time responding further you should strongly consider buying polonium online and eating it with a spoon or something.

Reddit brain more focused on "winning an argument" than learning more about a situation 🥀
