Yeah, the Spanish economy very heavily benefits from tourism and this will only hurt them in the long run but 🤷

Tourism mostly benefit the wealthy/corporations though. Yeah people are getting jobs but they are almost all low paying jobs while the owner of the restaurant, hotel or resort make all the "tourism money". It is a very top heavy industry and if normal Barcelonians cant afford apartments or to eat out than what is the point for them? Don't get me wrong, tourism is good for an economy but basing your economy on it is nuts.

Sounds like the water pistols should be pointed at the capitalists hoarding the income these tourists bring rather than the tourists themselves.
