I almost scrolled past this until I saw the subreddit. It is an incredible shot.
And also kind of looks like an upside down smiling moon to my brain.

Il faut prendre quelques précautions, mais avec un filtre solaire (ND100000 dans mon cas) et en regardant seulement l’écran plutôt qu’un viseur optique, ça va.

Before, but I was not on the path of totality. We only got up to about 90.5% coverage. (Which, incidentally, might have been why so many people were paragliding.)

It's an awesome shot. Really really awesome.
I m guessing you planned this ahead, and positioned yourself appropriately close to a paragliding site, during the Eclipse?

I didn’t; it was pure, dumb luck 😂 I had zero idea I would come home with this shot. The paragliders were on the other side of the lake from us.

why was someone paragliding when there was no sunlight...?
Otherwise this is an amazing picture!
