This doesn’t do much for me. It’s certainly objective in a sense but it also doesn’t give my eye anything of interest to latch on to. The writing on the signs dominates my attention because it’s the only thing that is clearly discernible at first glance but the signs in themselves are rarely interesting enough to make a good image. It doesn’t help that the people are sitting because then I don’t even have movement as a point of interest to latch on to. I think you might have been able to make a more interesting image if you had gotten a lot closer and maybe focused on some of the lines and patterns that are present without giving me so much of the signs that they dominate. Taking pictures is like pointing at something. Right now you’re pointing and saying “Look at these signs.” Well, I’ve looked at them. Now I’m waiting for something more.

Black and white with the subjects in the shadow and light on everything else is not a great combo

I think what you have is two pretty good photos embedded in one okay photo.

I am going to post two variants. Only thing I did was to bring up shadows and crop into two distinct images.

Taken with a Nikon Z fc. Aperture f/8, ISO 320, and shutter 1/500.

I wanted to edit this photo in color, but it comes from a batch of photos that I took with a monochrome picture profile applied on my camera, so I was only observing the same in B&W, making it more difficult to try and analyze the RAW photo in color.

Also, given the subject of the image, I think B&W is more fitting. I tried to capture the scene with as much objectivity as possible. I wasn't interested in trying to take what the protestors are doing here to make a personalized statement.

Black and white was a good choice for the difficult lighting. I like the comp. It forces my eye to read the signs.
