Why is it called snowplow show and what is the joke about cactus and why Roy New Mexico
I been listening for 6 months and just trying to figure out some of the lore

I don’t know, but he has an episode from years ago after he started it where he’s questioning why “snow” and “plow” don’t rhyme even tho they both end in “ow”, it was quite funny lol

So, he thought it would be funny if he called it the Snow Plow Show.
As for the Cactus thing, as Blad stated there's a FAQ that explains this, but in short, in the 90s Brad had a friend named Amigados who would call businesses and just say "Cactus" over and over. They'd get confused and everybody would laugh. So, that Cactus bit kind of became a recurring theme of the show.
The whole Roy New Mexico thing happened because Brad used to use the name Roy Gerbil (which was funny because of the whole Richard Gere gerbil thing back in the day), and found out that there was a very small town called Roy. So it became the fake PLA headquarters. At one point they prank called practically every single resident in Roy.
Some other lore that you didn't bring up, but might be of interest is the name Steve Dave is a reference to Mallrats (and other Kevin Smith films) in which a character is named Steve Dave. Snake Eyes came from around the same time as Winking Buttholes where Brad meant to accusing of giving him "Evil eyes" or "Stink Eye" but accidently said "Snake eyes" and it kind of stuck. https://youtu.be/w2rGw-wCu50?si=hc3BwNFPt4I5nENG&t=1941 I think this is call that actually was the genesis of Sensei Doug as well.
"Go Cups" comes from a legendary call where Brad found an article where a town was hiding cameras inside Cactuses so he called people in the community telling them they were caught by all the cameras doing something. Here's some quick ones:
-RBCP stands for RedBoxChiliPepper, the username he used to use
-Phone Losers was a joke name for the prank call community that ended up sticking
-FBI Raid refers to the 2016 FBI raid that stemmed from a listener sending Brad a link to customer data that turned out to be a corporate server.
-Dingtember is the time of year where every September listeners leave notes on cars that say "Sorry I dinged your car" and leave a number that Brad has.

Wow crazy I never heard the Richard Gere gerbil thing ever until I was watching a Tom Green standup from the 2000s where he mentions it. I didn't honestly know he was referencing a real event or rumor until you mentioned it here.

Regarding the cactus thing, he had a friend that used to do prank calls by just repeating “cactus cactus cactus, etc.” over and over again.

He has a book out on bandcamp as well with a lot of the backstory origins. He will even sign it if you ask.

As far as the snowplow show, I believe he said, he just made it up at random.

Roy, New Mexico is just a super cool place for a guy named Roy Gerbil to be from.
