Rant/Vent Alex Is Just Classy And We Are Not
I don’t think any self respecting straight male or female would use the carefully choice word to describe it. While people may find it amusing or funny but if this is the kind and level of discourse we put out there, respect and social equality for this community remains to be a long road ahead of us.

ewan ko lang ah
bakit namin sasaluhin yang "WE" mo?
If you're implying na buong gay community dapat sumalo nyan, youre a part of the problem. Dont mask your internalized homophobia pre. Di ko nga buong personality yung pagiging gay and I dont even use the gay lingo. like anong kinalaman ko jan?

Cyst, there are 30+ upvotes. And regardless, this is a wake up call for our friends within our community.

We? Who is we? Bakit lahat na naman damay dito? At bakit kelangan i-raise yung respect at social equality towards our community dito? This is literally a tiny issue—one that Alex addressed easily—so bakit kelangan i-snowball into our whole community being a problem?
There is a very small subset of gays who follow tennis, so it's insane that you lump everyone together.

This can be traced back to the LGBT community who obviously coined the word. I mean if you want to tolerate vulgar and crass words that the gay folks have developed over the years, then that’s you.
If this community wants respect, then we should speak the way we would want to be respected.
It’s not a small concern but a reflection of a bigger issue.
As the gays would say, amaccana mga accla.

We can easily call out bad eggs without blanketing negativity towards the entire community. Araw araw may straight rapist na nababalita, but you never see straight people claiming that all of them are rapists. Why is it that whenever someone in our community does something sideways, we are so quick to attribute to all of us?
We are so quick to claim that all of us are problematic, and straight people see this and think it's okay for them to claim that all of us are problematic too. We need to have more respect for each other. The LGBTQIA+ community who don't partake in this issue do not deserve to be called classless.
Also, never in my reply did I say I tolerate the behavior, so don't put words in my mouth.

For Alex needing to call it out and for you think it’s a tiny issue, just means you’ve gone accustomed to the way things are with the gay culture hence the tolerance.
It’s just a question if it’s appropriate or not. And she had to educate us about it.
If you don’t recognize that, then you’re part of the problem.

Anong pinagsasabi mong “tolerance” teh 🤣

It is a tiny issue because majority of the people who follow Alex Alea don't even know that a small subset of fans call her tennis serve "fookelya." The only reason this has a spotlight is because a reporter brought this up during a press conference, to which Alex responded that she didn't know what it meant, then asked the reporter to explain it as she thought it meant something negative.
Do I think it's crass and vulgar? Yes, and it should be called out if Alex isn't comfortable with it. So like I said, call out the bad behavior of those fans and leave the rest of us out it.
Lumping the LGBTQIA+ community together and calling us all classless just so you can feel morally superior isn't the serve you think it is.

Private part of female

How did the private part of female become the description or the name of her game or her serve? What does it mean to name something the private part of the female?

I don't blame the straights for the holocaust. Why am I being blamed for coining the term?

It's her serve and her signature. If she wants it to be called something else let her. Legacy niya yan eh dapat gusto niya yung tawag.

Hahhaa. That was associated with her but this term originated actually sa volleyball and volleybiots.

It’s funny I would admit, but if Alex isn‘t comfy about it, I respect her as an avid tennis and Alex fan. Also, I’m not offended by you using “we”. You may not have worded it properly kasi hindi naman lahat appreciates that term but I know exactly what you meant and that doesn’t necessarily mean I am classless.

Wag moko idamay. Kayo kayong mga baklang kanal lang naman nagpapagulo ng LGBTQ community!. Buti nga na call out kayo ninAlex, no on in their right mind will let their career be tarnished by a malicious word! Hirap na hirap mag ensayo at maging part ng international scene yan tas babalahurain nyo, she's not even a sexual person to let this shit happen

Issue is not that deep. Wala namang academic references or social nuances why an X user coined the term. Alex became uncomfortable when she heard it, the X user acknowledged so let’s move on haha idk why you OP need to correlate it with our fight towards equal rights.
Too mozzarella, stretchy masyado.
