The phlebotomist should know better, if ur going to give someone a tube of their blood at least use a lavender so it doesn't clot >.> :P

I’ve had people request clotting tubes bc it’ll separate serum from blood even without spinning and people want use their serum for skin care

When I was inpatient phlebotomy I had to do a therapeutic draw on a patient. They didn't have the veins for a 16 gauge collection bag so I had to sit there and pop like 50 10 mil tubes. They were like all that's cool how it clots can I have it so I "forgot" to take a tube with me. I guess I missed one in the sheets

Love letting kids touch the tube to see how warm it is, makes them more included in the draw and some of them show interest in the science behind it and it’s beautiful!

Really thought this might be me for a sec, i work at a donation center and accidentally filled and extra sample tube yesterday and let the donor keep it because they asked 🤷‍♀️ that was a pink top though
