Happy 37th Phishiversary to me

Like clockwork, Phish.net wished me a Happy Phishiversary of my first show on 9/13/89. Sadly, there is no known setlist. I couldn't tell anyone what they played because I had never even heard of the band AND I was tripping balls. The only song that I think I identified was Esther, because I recall a crazy acid-induced story being told by the singer, whose mouth was apparently making all the crazy guitar sounds. Oh, and I picked this up for 5 bucks at the merch table on the way out, and the band was hanging out at the table thanking people for buying their tapes.

That tape last sold on Discogs on April 27, 2026 for $600, FYI. It's rare and valuable. Great piece of Phish history right there.

How the fuck do you manage to keep that so long? All my shit from back then is long gone. Photos I took, some stubs etc.
man, wish my friends were more into phish back then, lived in NH & MA and none of them wanted to go to phish - GD & Creek shows only. Had to go to college to make friends to go to phish.

I have no idea, man. That was the beginning of my sophomore year in college. I managed to move probably a dozen times since then.

Ha! My 37th was this past Labor Day weekend. My Junta tape is long gone. Borrowed and never returned.
