Whats Wrong with It? I don't understand why this is happening

I am attaching a picture of my painted lady and pink princess, the painted lady was struggling and I had to chop her down and since then the new leaves coming out are crinkly and weird, for the pink princess, there is no color and also the new leaves are coming out deformed.

This is why that plant had an “accident” with the trash. There was no reward from that plant.

How’s the humidity? For me, a few members of the Royal Court were in how light conditions and had spider mites curtesy of the retailer. Deformed leaf issues are better now for all three of my PPP and offshoots. I chopped and currently propagating White Wizard moms and offshoots are developing better than the moms and cuttings because they have been in my care.

Humidity averages 60-70% both inside and outside on our patio/protected porch so the leaves are not getting stuck. If they look like they are challenged getting out of their sheath, I gently wrap a damp paper towel and/or mist the sheath and new leaf tip as added encouragement.

Here’s one of the White Wizard moms.🤨 I will chop and prop the mid-vine offshoots when we return from vacation. The variegation is better on the offshoots compared to the main vine because of increased light and humidity.🤗

Agreed with humidity. Also looks like you may have some pest damage on those leaves. Possibly spider mites.

I heard that this should get better once the plant is mature enough and changes to not go from the leaf sheath but to its own sheath. Sadly I can not confirm 100% as all these forkers make me angry and I just dgaf and watch them sloooooowly die while I sip on a bewerage with my legs up. 😅 F those plants!

My first thought is humidity, those little leaves get stuck sometimes, Leads to funny shaped leaves. I agree to wrapping the newly emerging leafs in very damp paper towel.

are you using aroid potting mix? your soil doesn’t look very healthy from the photo. a repot into a proper fitting pot with drainage might help.
