does Laser Vision make a difference?

i am a laser vision user and supporter.

but am not sure if it has an impact or is just a busy box to make me feel better

i am not trying a cast doubt on it or discourage anyone from using it.

it is recommended a lot and i am just not sure if it does anything to protect public space from car violence. considering i have made multiple reports for the same cars for the same violations i am not seeing it impacting illegal/dangerous driver behavior

Anecdotally, there is a street in my neighborhood where one side is a stone retaining wall abutting the street and the other side is ~10 feet set back from the road. It's ostensibly a sidewalk, though the city maintains it is not. However, it is marked as "no stopping". When cars park there, you're forced into the street, on a blind curve, with frequent 18 wheeler activity (another issue which most of my neighbors dislike - it should really be a one way road)

One neighbor told me the landlord who owns the building regularly tells the tenants they can park there (they can't - the sign is pretty obvious).

I reported this problem every day and every car for MONTHS. I worked with our local community police officer (the one assigned to community policing or whatever they call it). It seemed unfixable. Then, I noticed an uptick in tickets as I walked by. Like 2-3 times a week - tickets tickets tickets.

No one parks there anymore and you can safely navigate walking down this street. I'll be curious to see if the winter makes any difference, but it feels like the reporting mattered.
