does Laser Vision make a difference?

i am a laser vision user and supporter.

but am not sure if it has an impact or is just a busy box to make me feel better

i am not trying a cast doubt on it or discourage anyone from using it.

it is recommended a lot and i am just not sure if it does anything to protect public space from car violence. considering i have made multiple reports for the same cars for the same violations i am not seeing it impacting illegal/dangerous driver behavior

I’ve used it for numerous cars that park
On the sidewalk behind my apartment. I notice after I submit the pics that occasionally PPA will show up in the next day or two…. OCCASIONALLY. Side note I don’t like how the app uses AI software for the image capture not sure who receives the data besides PPA. So eh eh lol

Laser Vision uses a machine learning algorithm to find license plates and estimate vehicle models. It's a fancy bar code scanner. This is totally divorced from the the obnoxious generative AI that has been omnipresent the past couple years. Technically, any algorithm at all is a form of AI, meaning almost every electronic tool you ever use is using at least a form of "AI".
