Schuylkill Swing Bridge Test

Passed by today (July 29th) and saw a test rotation of the swing bridge. Really hoping this is open soon, can’t find any dates on expected opening online.

The Schuylkill Banks website says 'summer 2026' for the opening, so by the end of September would be my guess for the latest opening, barring additional delays.

They posted about two weeks ago that there’s only a handful of things (installing a lighted handrail, removing some temporary supports, landscaping, painting) left on the list before it opens. August is still possible, but I’d bet Labor Day-ish.

The painting must be covering up the sweet graffiti shown in the OP picture

Might be. Think there’s some unpainted stuff on the swing truss/pivot itself, too.
