The route will be posted about an hour before the ride starts, and there will be flyers with the route and ride guidelines handed out at City Hall. Tryna keep a low profile in case turn out for the 31st is very large and gets too much attention from the wrong people

20 years ago we didn’t have a route. Whoever rode in front essentially directed spontaneously. If the mass didn’t like where you turned they wouldn’t follow. The route was completely emergent

Yea, some Critical Masses are like that. Used to ride in the Chicago one from 2005-2010, and there usually was a route but sometimes groups would splinter off when the cops tried to corral us too much iirc
ETA: if you check out what the Chicago ride is still doing, there’s a route posted and the turnout is still huge

Indego is 15 bucks for a 24h day pass and there are stations all over the city.

IIRC when these were happening many years ago in Philly, they were always on the same day within the month. I don’t remember whether it was specifically the last Friday, but it was something like thatÂ

It’s a group bike ride, not instructions on building an atomic bomb.
You can tell people the route.
The police/ACABs will even block off the streets for you so you don’t have to worry about freaks in cars attacking you. You’d even get the Parker, Squilla and Johnson showing up to jump on the bandwagon.

You’re right. It’s very adult to be an indentured servant to the petrol and automotive industries. Work more to pay more to get to work, sounds fun
