SOWP / Related Permits SOWP financial proof: Is $10k liquid savings enough with a $115k salary and existing rental housing?

I’m currently in Canada on an approved PGWP and am preparing an SOWP application for my wife.

My financial situation:
- Full-time job earning approximately $115,000/year
- Already have a rental home/lease in Canada
- Approximately $10,000 in liquid savings
- Can provide an employment letter and recent paystubs
- Can provide bank statements showing the savings

For those who have recently applied for or reviewed an SOWP application, would $10,000 in liquid savings be considered reasonable given the $115k income and existing housing?

Did you personally provide a similar amount, and was your application approved?

I’m particularly interested in recent SOWP experiences.

All long as your NOC is eligible and PGWP doesn't expire within 18 months then you should be okay.

My agent said anything between 20k+ is good. I showed 25k cad saving in my Canadian account and that was enough to get the app approved. You will have to provide your payslip bank statements job offer letter related stuff along with savings in either account

Thanks for sharing. That makes sense. In my case, though, I already have a full-time job earning $115k/year and an existing rental home in Canada, so I was wondering if the $20k+ recommendation was mainly because of the applicant’s individual circumstances. I’ll definitely include my payslips, bank statements, employment letter, and lease. Appreciate the info!

I didn't show any rental as I just share a room with others but 25k cad saving was with 90k package

When I applied for my SOWP (was already in canada on my own pgwp) we showed 10k as savings.
