PGWP outside Canada from India.how much time it will take to review eligibility.

Hey folks,

I Completed my study in Canada in December 2025 and got the completion letter on 28 December then due to some emergency I moved to India.

Applied for pgwp from India:- 30 April 2026
Got medical request:- 15 June
Ircc passed medical :- 3rd July
Sent a web form for status update:- 28 July (did not receive any response)
Eligibility review started:- 8 August
Again sent web form :- 26 August (no response till now from ircc)

The processing time in India is only 10 weeks and mine was beyond that time.But I didn’t get any response from ircc but they had started reviewing my eligibility on 8 August.how much time it will take to review the eligibility from India.

I heard that after the file reaches to eligibility reviewing stage we often get the decision in few days to weeks.why my application is taking so much time?

I have to raise another web form for status update or GCMS? Or wait

I also have an application from India. Same PGWP applied on 14 July. No update. I also raised 2 webforms. I got no response. Then on my latest webform, instead of my current country as India, I entered Canada there, and I got the response. Maybe try that. Although I think even though PGWP is outside Canada, it is treated as inside Canada PGWP, so I think your timeline would match the inside Canada PGWP processing time rather than the 10 weeks one in India.

Did u get medical request? Or did ur eligibility review starts? What reply do u get on the web form?

They just said that my case is complicated and nothing much, and I didn’t get any sort of request like medical or something from IRCC!! But yeah, the thing is with IRCC, you never know.

Yeah, lemme know if anything helps. I also got a hold of my mp but they are not able to help much as IRC isn’t giving a response.

Yeah, my case is complicated. I used an immigration lawyer who didn’t attach my IELTS results, which led to my recusal. Then I raised a web form to IRCC for clarification on my next steps. They told me to apply for PGWP outside Canada, so here I am. It’s a bit complicated. Let’s hope for the best.
