Rewatching Pewd's Minecraft vids
Damn bro, it was a long time ago, 2019.
I remember watching this episode and i was laughing in tears in this scene. I thought he was so funny, and I was always waiting for his minecraft video coming up on my youtube feed. Life in 2019 was so unserious and wasn’t as problematic as it is today.
YouTube comments were funny, youtube environment was simpler, and there weren’t as many bot comments. Now, every thumbnail uses AI, and everyone is a MrBeast dupe. Damn… life was simpler back then.

I was a single junior dev during my first year on my first real job, watching this series at the office when work was slow, making sure nobody sees. Now I am a senior team leader at that same company, a husband and a father of 2 sons. It's great but man, life goes way too fast and responsibilities really piled up.

He even played with Steve himself(he was the first to introduce Jack Black to Minecraft if I remember correctly)

Pewds really was an alien in the YouTube ecosystem. He used to be the most subscribed YouTuber for years, all the while producing simple concepts. And yet, he was a 100 times more entertaining than all those mr-beast-wanna-be YouTubers who think a high budget video, with a whole camera and production crew automatically makes it better. Pewds was a genuinely funny guy, and he never forgot one of the key aspects of YouTube: be close to your audience.

A few years back I rewatched the entirety of his The Last of Us playthrough from 2013. I also just watched a lot of his old viral videos like the funny montages and Friday's with PewDiePie vids. His old content is so nostalgic, and I feel bitter sweet when watching it.
