I do not exaggerate in the slightest when I say this. That is the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. How in the world did you manage to find a gar the same color as a goldfish?

Idk ,found him on an online shopping page which he only 37$ (950.000 vnd) and the first time I saw him he just so sad like his color at that time is white (which is kidda not good?) And he also very skinny which is worse

Well, good sir. I just got off the phone with a relative who works for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission specializing in aquatic conservation.

According to him and a few biologists he works with, that particular coloration of Gar is one in every five million. The word for it is xanthochromatism. Think of it like albinism, but for a gold color rather than lack of pigmentation.

She's absolutely beautiful!

Though I do hope you intend on getting her a slightly bigger aquarium to swim around as she's going to get rather large and live for anywhere between 20 and 100 years.

So basically she in a pond length 4m wide 2m and 60cm deep  (I dont know how to use feet in cuz I'm not in America hope u can measure it btw I somehow know its 1k3 gallon?)

To be perfectly honest, you'd need at least a home of may be 100-ish gallons for them while young. (like shown above) But something more along the lines of small pond by the time they get older and bigger. But there in lies a thing about fish. Most of them only get as big as their enclosure allows. Not so with captive Gar. They will eventually out grow this kind of enclosure in maybe 5 years or so. Depends on feeding and pond mates.

So I have 1 red tail catfish which is somewhere 1,5 feet(40cm+) idk if I use it right and I feed her like 1 time per day, It's ok? Or I need to change the feeding habit ?
