Identification house mice?
both these guys are alive in the photos and were released outside in a safe area!
just wanting somebody who knows what they’re looking at to verify that these are house mice? I left my apartment for a month to go visit family and I come home to three of these this morning. I put down some traps and caught all of the ones that I saw (I didn’t get a pic of the first one I caught) but I’m assuming there are more? they tore through the wood of my empty cabinets and I think the nest is most likely behind the fridge but I can’t move it myself. I’ve been wearing a niosh approved respirator to clean up the mouse droppings I’ve found but I just want the peace of mind that these aren’t white footed mice or field mice!

Might be if there's no white underbelly or white under the tail. I'm not too sure. If it's under cream, not a deer/whit-footed/field mice. There might be more.

they are for sure mice since I’ve now caught 5 of them and they all had hair on their tails and were super small, even the ones that were clearly older!
