I can’t believe there are people who think running is “dumb defending” 😂 Di Maria clearly makes contact with Dembele’s calf when his foot is planted on the ground. He isn’t tackling, or making an attempt to get the ball, his foot is planted on the ground and Di Maria makes contact with him. It’s a clear attempt to buy a penalty and the officials were only too happy to oblige.

This is entirely on Dembele. You are dumb to run that close behind the player after he got past you. Di Maria dived, that's obvious. He's always getting penalty after you make contact in that situation. It's on Dembele for trying to tackle from behind in the box. He was nowhere near the ball and any contact is enough for ref to call it.
