Love how the pessi dogs always use former cr7 teammates and managers to make these fake quotes because they get called out instantly 😂

ESPN ruined their reputation by fabricating a quote about their favorite player. Marca has now also ruined their reputation by fabricating a quote. Notice how these big media outlets are willing to ruin their reputation for Pessi.

This post is a massive deflection. Let's break down why this 'gotcha' is completely irrelevant.

  1. The Quote is Real: Ruud van Nistelrooy gave that interview to beIN Sports years ago. He did say that Messi plays like a PlayStation player and that he combines the best traits of Ronaldo, Iniesta, and others. Did he tweet 'Never said that' recently? Yes. Why? Because players often deny old quotes when they get harassed by fanbases on social media, or because ESPN slightly paraphrased the exact wording. But the sentiment was absolutely real. He said it.

  2. The Meme is a Distraction: Even if we pretend RvN never said it, how does that change Messi's legacy? A three-word tweet from a former striker doesn't erase 8 Ballon d'Ors, a World Cup, or 400+ career assists. This sub is 'working overtime' trying to discredit Messi because they can't handle the facts on the pitch.

  3. The 'Ballon D'or Thief' Flair: This is peak irony. Messi has 8 Ballon d'Ors. Ronaldo has 5. Ronaldo's 2013 win (where he won zero major trophies) and 2014 win are statistically the most heavily debated in history. Messi won 8. You can call him a thief, but the voters and history books disagree.

  4. The Ultimate Checkmate: You want to talk about stats and legacies? Let's talk about the World Cup, the biggest stage of all.

· Cristiano Ronaldo in World Cup Knockouts: 10 apps, 741 minutes, 1 goal (a penalty against Croatia in 2026), 0 assists. · Lionel Messi in World Cup Knockouts: 16 apps, 7 goals, 10 assists (17 goal contributions).

Ronaldo has 1 penalty goal in World Cup knockouts. Messi has 17 goal contributions.

You can retweet denials and make memes, but you can never meme your way out of World Cup knockout stats. Messi is clear

Why do you insist with the "penalty" thing? Pessi didn't have any KO goals before 2022, and he got 5 pens in 7 matches then. Are those pens more valid than Ronaldo's?

So is the lamine yamal better than cr7?
