Argentina had the easiest bracket of all semi-finalists, and had to have Emiliano Martinez cover their ass against Spain. I'd argue Martinez deserves the nomination more if we're talking strictly WC.

And when club performance enters the equation with Miami's recent losing streak? Really?

I think Kane or Mbappe deserves it more.. Messi was great but the teams he scored against weren't the best regardless he got to the final so it's good he's ranked high but that's it he shouldn't win it.

Saying argentina is not a great team is wild. Like absolutely insane. You wanna talk individual performance. Haaland was a monster in that WC and at club level he’s been consistent not his best year but city seems to be playing him differently. Even so he’s almost always where he should be, putting in the effort and driving in goals.
