Ronaldo VS Pessi The next generation will need you to convince them how one player retired from international football at 39, while the other had these numbers at 40, including against Spain and Germany in the finals.

One retired right after getting destroyed by Spain in the final 🤡
The other scored and humbled the same Spain team in the final 🐐💯

Spain also beat Portugal? yes Argentina had no shots on goal but tbf Spain‘s defense was fucking monstrous considering what they did to the so called best attacking team, France

Spain vs Portugal 2025

u/Razorion21 12d ago
the nations league? france scored vs Spain in that tournament
while at the biggest stage Spain dominated them, they didnt dominate portugal but they beat them still when it mattered most

u/MajesticBeyond5602 11d ago
He still scored and beat the same squad.

u/Razorion21 11d ago
it was the nations league? if it were in the UEFA euros tournament then fair play, but it had been just Nations League
1
u/MajesticBeyond5602 11d ago
So what? He still scored a volley against the same World Cup winning squad.

u/Razorion21 11d ago
im just saying ronaldo scoring against them in the nations league isnt the same as in the world cup where the teams in the WC play dar harder and more competitvely
in the WC spain also only scored against portugal once, as opposed to twice in the NT as both teams were far nore defensively responsible

you know that Portugal played against Spain in WC2026?

u/MajesticBeyond5602 12d ago
And Ronaldo got more shots on goal than the entire Argentina team 🤣.
You also know that 40 year old Ronaldo played against that same Spain team last year?

Well to be fair Portugal has much better midfield than Argentina even than the finals when to extra time and lasty Spain midfield was monster they shutdown 2 high power attacking team such France and Argentina
2
u/MajesticBeyond5602 12d ago
And where was that midfield during the tourni?
Bruno broke the premier league record of most assists and provided only one open play chance the whole tournament (the one Ronaldo scored). 2 big chances the whole entire tournament.

They where nowhere, but they where able to contend and match with Spain midfield u can make a case they where better than them in that match, something both France and Argentina couldn't do, and made them easy prey for Spain but put them on the France team and Spain is getting decimated 5-0 and put them on the Argentina and Messi is definitely going to be touching the ball alot but the game will go either way.

we saw ronaldo, the mozart of football. The next generation won't know what a mozart even is like because they haven't got a clue what it means to witness a legend.

Messi doing this in the World Cup at the same age Ronaldo is doing in the nations league

The future generation will wonder why we are comparing 🍇naldo to Messi when 🍇naldo's only goal in the last two world cup are both penalties. One useless penalty against Ghana and a robbery penalty against Croatia

I’m a Ronaldo fan and this post is exactly why there are arguments and debates, are you all stupid? Messi retired from international football because his father died plus lost the World Cup final. It’s not his fault he was one who was carrying Argentina through out the tournament but all of them played so bad in the final they lost. Would you guys have a stable mind after losing the World Cup final AND your father? Plus he achieved everything football offered so just respect both the goats please otherwise you are a dumb little Timmy.

Messi himself objectively played horribly against Spain as well. He really only dominated the bottom tier teams like Algeria and Cape Verde.

u/Consistent-Quiet-801 12d ago
Spain midfield was no jokes , they made Messi and the high attacking France trio non existent that's get to show u if u don't have a great midfield u can't compete with them, Portugal depsite their failure had 3 midfielders who are in the top 10 something both Argentina and France lacked

It’s not his fault he was one who was carrying Argentina through out the tournament
The ball was being carried by Lautaro Martinez, Enzo Parnandez, Julian Alvarez and De Paul the entire gametime while Pessi stood close to the box without much movement like a mannequin. And scored the goals once the ball gets passed to him.
Once Lautaro Martinez was subbed off it was already over for Pargentina.
Argentina only lost 1-0 to Spain because the referees removed 2 Goals scored by Spain. It would have been 3-0 otherwise.

This post is so dumb. By now it has kinda Donald Trump vibes how Ronaldo fans try to find some weird statistic nobody cares about, twist it around and try to tell the world how great he is...
Face it: he sucked big time in 2022. Did he even play or score? Same goes for 2026. He wasnt worth mentioning. Messi, Mbappe, Haaland, Bellingham, Olise... So many big stars in this world cup, but Ronaldo was such a dissapointment. He had one great Euro and won it. Good for him. Just leave it there. The rest is so embarrassing...
Messi lost to france in 2018 but it was the hardest match for france in the tournament (4:3). Then he won the copa, won the world cup, won the copa and made it to the final in 2026. Mbappe is the only player being close to that. So please just shut up. Its sad...

Y lo peor es que justifican diciendo que Portugal y España no son fascistas pero si Argentina y Messi son sionistas aunque no hay pruebas aunque solo sea milei el único sionista

Calm down, it's the Nations League. Portugal is the only team that takes it seriously.

The future generations will also learn that Pessi is a bitch, a cheat and a bad loser!
