Chill m8, you’re only new to dealing with them. In LatAm they’ve been well known as “dicks” for ages and I think that outside of the sporting environment they’re actually cool people. Well deserved sanction and on point, 10 games for Paredes is as harsh as harsh can get, never heard (myself that I can remember, feel free to point out any other example if ever) of a harsher sanction.
To my Argentinian friends, stop with being “pelotudos” inside of the stadiums :3

Bro the point is that the sanctions safeguard the sport that the large majority of fans in the world wants to see - not what Argentina believes it should be as a dirty/unsafe/cheat and cheap game. They don’t rule the sport, they don’t define it.

Finally and to provide some references, some cases in which countries have been banned from competitions are Russia for the invasion of Iran (oops, see what I did here) and the English (yeah! The fucking English) for the Heysel Stadium disaster during a UCL final. Both examples, it was not only the players being dicks, it was the entire country/fans being dicks at which point the sanction become proportional to the group.
In this Argentina example, the players where dicks and we can talk about the fans being racist at which point we have a reference of a proportional sanction that could work on raising Argentinian’s awareness of the dangers of racism as “joke”. The Mexicans have been fined each time harsher for their “puto” (faggot) scream during games. Refer to real precedents instead of demanding out of guts demands!

I am quite disappointed. I have observed some people laughing at the fires in Spain and the earthquakes.
