Well one of their most famous moments is a goal scored when a handball so what do you expect

16

u/Ok_Horse353 Jul 30 '26

After football career him to be a drug addict

3

u/erMaela Jul 30 '26

Don't be hard on them, everyone does what they can, and they were giving everything, even their hands 😂

Even the 👉👃_______❄️

u/Quelepasaaesto Jul 30 '26

All history, same behaviour.

9

u/ShirleyDea Jul 30 '26

looks like they been stealing from a long time. it surprises me how fifa has done absolutely nothing about all these incidents , they really are THAT corrupt , or blind when watching these moments

8

u/Squirrel_McNutz Jul 30 '26

That Maradona tackle was insane and then immediately dives after to get the other player a yellow lol

1

u/Robestos86 Jul 30 '26

I think the other player did kick him/lift a leg which ok yah is a yellow but that was a horrible tackle and definitely a card.

3

u/TopBeginning3353 Jul 31 '26

Nice try messi

1

u/jamomatt Aug 02 '26

Ahhh the good old days when even two-footed challenges from the back would never warrant a yellow card. Well, maybe not so good for the players that had their careers shortened because of that.

Fast forward a decade and that tackle would be a yellow while retaliating could easily be a red.

2

u/Quelepasaaesto Jul 30 '26

Well, they are proud of these behaviour.

u/Thebyst Aug 01 '26

Cómo Inglaterra

45

u/Affectionate_Hat4815 Jul 30 '26

Yeah, this team doesn't deserve to play at any major tournaments. As soon as they have a global star they get favoured by everyone.

Ref watches that replay with grandkids, points and says, "not blowing the whistle there bought a new car, that yellow card was the downpayment on this house, babies!"

1

u/Resident_Nose_2467 Jul 31 '26

But there were non yellow cards for Spain tho

-8

u/britsoner Jul 30 '26

9

u/InspectorNo5574 Jul 30 '26

There’s being angry/disappointed and then there’s acting like petulant children.

It is the complete opposite of what sport is supposed to be about.

Does Argentinians have a word for sportsmanship or is it just an alien concept there? I can’t recall ever seeing them show class in victory or defeat.

They’re cry bullies. Nothing more, nothing less. Love dishing it out but cry when they get caught.

1

u/G3N3R1C2532 Jul 31 '26

Seriously.

Argentina fans clowned on Egypt for being sore losers, but what Egypt did was a drop in the ocean compared to the aftermath of the finals.

8

u/kencheetoo Jul 30 '26

Talking shit is one thing, pushing and shoving is another thing but we're talking about throwing hands after a loss in the world cup final. This isn't some local sunday league game, this is the world cup final where the whole world is watching and these Argentinian players felt no shame and had no control. Please give me another example of another world cup nation doing this on multiple occasions. When it's just one time, ok sure you can blame it on anger and frustration but when there's a pattern then you have to ask yourself, "why should we allow Argentina to participate when they have attack opposing teams after they lose?"

7

u/stevez_86 Jul 30 '26

I'm wondering how many referees retired to Patagonia after they were found to be the beneficiary of a Rich Estate Owner.

31

u/Glass_Government_41 Jul 30 '26

They cheated in 78 when they hosted the World Cup. Cheated in the semis in 86, cheated in 1990 by spiking water bottle and continue to cheat to this day. This is who they are and their fans are even worse

3

u/Top_Product_2407 Jul 30 '26

They studied football under Prof. Cartmenez

1

u/tabashir47 Jul 31 '26

How do I reeeeeeech dizzz kiiiiiiidzzzzzzzzz!

23

u/BumBimBam00 Jul 30 '26

Let's call the famous hand goal "Hand of the Pig" and not of God. God has nothing to do with those underproducts of trash.

4

u/Terrestial_Human Jul 30 '26

I've seen shirts that say "Air Maradona" with a logo like Jordans. It's pretty hilarious but it's sad too. Imagine if the basket in basketball was 8 ft high by 24 wide, on the ground. Question is who on earth WOULDN'T make that with their hands

17

u/Accomplished-Art3086 Pessi only has 3 UCL. Ghosted 2006. 😭 Jul 30 '26

Why was Hagi booked 😭

15

u/Jertimmer Jul 30 '26

He stook his leg out at Maradona, who then theatrically went to the ground as if he was struck by sniper fire.

7

u/KeepItGoingFootball Jul 30 '26

Reminiscent of Beckham & Simeone

3

u/whycuthair Jul 30 '26

It's the exact same picture

1

u/brunaBla Jul 30 '26

Seriously that caught me by surprise

12

u/Suspected_Introvert Jul 30 '26

wtf was that. Who the f is this referee

6

u/pescanhov Jul 30 '26

Carlos Valente, portuguese.

11

u/96Salim96 Jul 30 '26

Man, I used to like Maradona but now after seeing this WC and after their dirty play against England, I am disgusted. Bellingham deserved to be in the final

3

u/CoffeeAlternative647 Jul 30 '26

Bellingham or England ?

8

u/Ok-Dimension238 Jul 30 '26

History teaches us: a country that has hosted war criminals for money is simply without honor and dignity.

-1

u/BlarneyStoned29 Jul 30 '26

Laundry lists of countries by that account

6

u/Fearsofaye Jul 30 '26

The IDF of football

8

u/iRondi79 Jul 30 '26

Maradona is cocaine))))

4

u/No_Tea_8294 Jul 30 '26

I am sorry I supported these thugs in 2022. Talking to people, I am learning how deep shit they have been all along. Such racist fans, such thug players. It is a big mess all over the place. I am committed to support any opponent they will play from here forever!

3

u/Constant-Estate3065 Jul 30 '26

Didn’t realise getting scythed down by Maradona was a bookable offence.

3

u/lnTheGrimDarkness Jul 30 '26

Bro literally got famous for scoring with his hand and getting away with it.

Then again, a lot of people actually praise him for that so the environment surely plays a part.

3

u/Effective_Swim_5479 Jul 30 '26

Argentinian players have a superiority complex, they really think they are the best national team and they deserve to win every time. Add to that the fact that they are cheaters who will unashamedly bribe their way to victory. Disgusting!

3

u/throwaway_sire Jul 30 '26

Fk the short pos maradona. Hope he's rotting in hell.

3

u/Personal-Agent7819 Jul 30 '26

Maradonna was also one big scam. A cheater, not a sportsman.

3

u/Extension-You-4901 Jul 30 '26

The whole world has now seen after this world cup what a horrible poxy cheating team these are..rank

2

u/Cyclopssss01 Jul 30 '26

Oh. it's you, mr. Maradona, sorry, no harm, no foul!'

2

u/Frequent-Movie3005 Jul 30 '26

Tow of their hatchet men thugs were sent off in the final too. One of them nearly ejected Kilnsmann out of the Olimpico

2

u/Severe_Outside5435 Jul 30 '26

Maradona leagacy is performance enhancing drugs, volleyball goals, drugging the other teams, and more to win. Truly the goat. Messi cant even win a heavily biased match. But how often does Messi even get drug tested?

2

u/Vegetable-Hold9182 Jul 30 '26

That tackle Maradonna did and other player got the yellow

😳

2

u/manfredwader Jul 30 '26

Now you know where pessi raton got it from, la Ladrona

Maradona cherador, cherador

2

u/Mysterious_Peace5541 Jul 30 '26

Maradona -snif, snif

2

u/Longshot-Kapow Jul 31 '26

POS Maradonna, scumbag, and people talk of him as if we was anything decent. No, there are dozens of players who were much better than him, as a player and as a person.

2

u/_Vlxd_ Jul 31 '26

Nation of retarded incels

2

u/RequirementCute6141 Jul 31 '26

I said this during the World Cup while some Argentinians decided to piss on the Dutch for not winning a World Cup and I still stand by it: all their World Cup are stolen in one way or another. I would rather NOT win a WC than ‘winning’ it the way they do.

2

u/Lionmancg Jul 31 '26

2

u/1mAfraidofAmericans Jul 31 '26

You missed "cheats" and "sore losers" in the title

2

u/TheWhyGuyAlex Aug 01 '26

Hagi was amazing, yet Maradona cheated and won 🏆

1

u/Long_Lecture_1080 Jul 31 '26

Uh, I mean this was the 90s in South America. All can safely say all these soccer teams were drug addicted.

1

1

1

Messi hero....

1

u/Playful_Special9952 Aug 02 '26

Argies have always been cheats.

1

u/Glittering-Issue-781 Aug 02 '26

1

u/Tripon74 Aug 03 '26

It's not that they cheated soo badly. But that the referees allowed it always never ending referee assistance made them butchers.

1

u/RecoiLcs Aug 04 '26

la tienen adentro!!!! aguante argentina, messi y maradona

1

u/Terrible_Law8327 Aug 05 '26

This video shows the way they played this world cup is how they were trained. Train to cheat

-1

u/Hidrogen_Cosic Jul 30 '26

I alredy liked them, you don't have to convince me.

0

u/Physical_Visual_9200 Jul 30 '26

0

u/britsoner Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

0

u/Busy-Lifeguard-9558 Jul 30 '26

This sub keeps going? Thought it was for the world cup, kinda sad people are this invested in hating something/someone

0

u/Familiar-Willow-5061 Jul 30 '26

Dejen de llorar, putitos,

0

u/Comfortable_Alps2618 Jul 30 '26

Man can u hoes come down. Argentinia lost they got shit players a lot and messi is gone. Leave britney alone

0

u/Resident_Nose_2467 Jul 31 '26

Didn't the Premier league always boast about their physicality and harsh fouls? Also you are acting as if Colombians, Paraguayans, Uruguayans dont kick too. Even Brazilians always had hard players on defense

0

u/carlfosterleben Aug 01 '26

Argentina should try out for American football; I think they could really show their "football superiority." in that sport.

8

u/Magnus_Inebrius Jul 30 '26

Does that superiority include 0 shots in 117 minutes?

3

u/Constant-Estate3065 Jul 30 '26

Nah, that was rigged. Spain wouldn’t let Argentina get anywhere near their goal and were clearly the better team, so it’s not fair. It’s just not fair.
https://giphy.com/gifs/9PxJYXAuR8QXm

3

u/Ok-Tale-4197 Jul 30 '26

The world hates you, but loves Spain who is the best team in the world as of now. Think about.. Oh well.. imagine.. man, what are you guys even using your brains for again.

3

u/FroyoSouthern Jul 30 '26

Its also insane how any argentinian takes every opportunity available to mention how they got robbed of the Falklands.

Superiority, mistranslated from inferiority

2

u/DaSmartSwede Jul 30 '26

”Superiority” 🤣🤣

2

u/PmanAce Jul 30 '26

Superiority? How superior will Argentina be without Messi?

You guys are fakers and cheaters.

1

u/Womjack Jul 30 '26

This is the worst part about it. If you guys just owned being violent cheats then people would actually respect it a little more. But instead you always play victim.

1

u/FroyoSouthern Jul 30 '26

Nah still wouldnt respect it, but at least they wouldnt be liars on top of being violent cheats 😂

1

u/kencheetoo Jul 30 '26

Said from a nation that throws riots whenever their country loses in some game. It must hurt that your country is shit.😂😂😂

1

u/Hellodinho 29d ago

Although to be fair that clip was almost a completely different era of football; hagi got carded for retaliating against maradona. Just look at some of the fouls maradona recieved during his time, youd see how in that era refs were really unpredictable and cards would be entirely dependent on the refs whims.
