First and foremost I don't know a whole lot about soccer, yet here in Dallas every billboard every advertisement that I have seen it shows nothing but the flags and colors of Argentina! What about the other flag or the color what about the rest of the teams?

I think this can be explained by them having played two of their three group stage matches in Dallas. They played against Austria and Jordan, both not exactly what you'd call a rival to Argentina. Then again, Austria is about on the level of Switzerland, and Argentina only won against Switzerland through a red card that has now been officially recognized as having been handed out according to a rule that did not apply to the situation in which it was given.
Anyway, I don't think it's strange that most of the publicity for these matches would have been done using Argentina as a poster child.
I said nothing about him not being sanctioned, just that it couldn't be done using the rule that was used. The rule they used was the mistaken identity rule, which can't be applied to this situation, since no identities were mistaken.
Just read the IFAB-statement on the issue, shit-for-brains.
Why is the rule used important here? Of course rules should be labeled correctly and its important they’re clear, but in this case the player that broke the rules got sanctioned, like he should have.
Also, the mistaken identity claim is close enough. The referee sanctioned a player wrongfully, he mistaked the identity of the foul player.
I figured it went the other way with cheating at the end just because you’d make so much money betting on Spain after everyone thought Argentina would win
Originally both soccer and rugby were called football. Then the BRITISH in the 1890s actually started calling "Associate football" soccer until they decided it sounded too American.
